Twitter

I have just recently started using twitter and am a little surprised that I actually kind of like it. From what I have seen people use twitter for many different reasons like to promote themselves, talk about their day to day activities, promote their own or someone else product, promote events, keep people updated on news, or to just try to be funny. The people that I found the most interesting to follow were the ones that would say funny things. Personally I don't want to read about what people are doing or what products or events they are trying to promote but if they can make me laugh I am fine with that. I also liked following a Senators news type thing where they would only post videos which you can watch right on the site or a link to an article.

Using twitter and using blogs can be very similar. On twitter you sit there looking at one page that will show tweets from as many different people that you are following on twitter, whereas when you are blogging you go to a blog that you know and see what that person has updated and then go to another blog and see what that person has updated. One main difference is that blogs are a lot more customizable than twitter so you can really express yourself through them. I think that twitter is better for people who are trying to know celebrity gossip and what they do all day and that blogs are better for people who are trying to be kept updated in different news topics.
